Andy Warhol
Andy Warhol was the leading figure for the pop art community in America, his work explores the new area of advertising. Repetition was his secret to success, like in his Marilyn Monroe collection where he would reproduce the same image several times on large canvas and empties the original meaning of the images, and connects to the main component of pop art: “ art had to be ‘consumed’ like any other commercial product”.

Most of his mass produced artwork was made with the help of silk-screening printing machinery. The gallery presented a various collection of his artworks, that includes some of his most famous works : “Marilyn Monroe” , “Mao Tse-tung”. Warhol explains in his biography that mass products represents the social democracy and his work can be commonly recognized.
